Video Production for Chicagoland Businesses
One crew writes, shoots, and edits it. Most shoots wrap in a single day on location, and you see a first draft within 7 to 14 days.
Ten Types of Video, Explained
Every kind of video we make and what each one is actually for. Not sure which fits? That is what the call is for.
Brand Films
A brand film — sometimes called a brand story video or company story video — is a short, professionally produced video that tells the story behind your business: who you are, how you work, and why customers choose you. It’s not an ad.
Commercial Videos
A commercial — also called a video ad or promotional video — is a short, scripted video with one job: make the right customer remember you and act. Unlike a brand film, which tells your whole story, a commercial is built around a single message — one service, one offer, one reason to call — and produced tight enough to run as paid ads on YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and streaming TV.
Testimonial Videos
A testimonial video — also called a customer testimonial video or video testimonial — is a short, professionally filmed interview where a real customer explains what it was like to work with you: the problem they had, why they chose you, and what the result was. Unlike written reviews, a video testimonial can’t be faked, skimmed, or ignored.
Product Videos
A product video — also called a product demo video or product showcase video — is a short, professionally shot video that presents a product clearly: what it looks like, how it works, and what it’s like to use. That can mean clean studio footage on a seamless background, lifestyle shots of the product in real use, or a demo that walks through features one by one.
Social Media Videos
Social media videos — short-form vertical videos made for Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Facebook — are quick clips built for the feed: job site footage, quick tips, behind-the-scenes moments, and answers to common questions, each under a minute. One batch filming session produces weeks of finished videos, edited and formatted for each platform, so you always have something ready to post without someone on your crew playing videographer between jobs.
FAQ Videos
An FAQ video — or frequently asked questions video — is a video of you or your team answering questions customers ask before they buy: how much it costs, how long it takes, what happens if something goes wrong. Instead of burying answers in a wall of text, you answer them face-to-face on camera.
Employee Spotlight Videos
An employee spotlight video — also called a team spotlight or meet-the-team video — is a short profile of one person on your team: who they are, what they do, and why they do it. It’s the difference between a customer opening the door to a stranger and opening it to someone they feel like they’ve already met.
Project Walkthrough Videos
A project walkthrough video — also called a job walkthrough, project showcase, or start-to-finish video — documents one real project from beginning to end: the starting condition, the work as it happens, and the finished result. It shows the process most customers have never seen — the prep, the crew, the cleanup — and turns “trust us, we do good work” into footage of you actually doing it.
Interview-Style Videos
A corporate interview video is a professionally produced, sit-down interview with the people who represent your company — executives, subject-matter experts, department leads, or team members — filmed against a clean setup with broadcast-quality lighting and audio. The interviewer’s questions are edited out of the final cut, leaving polished, direct-to-audience answers that can anchor a company overview, support internal communications, introduce leadership, or provide expert commentary for your website and LinkedIn presence.
Podcast Production
Podcast production — including video podcast filming, podcast recording, and podcast editing — covers everything it takes to turn a conversation into a finished show: multi-camera video, professional microphones, lighting, and post-production that cuts the episode, cleans the audio, and packages it for every platform. We produce on location or at your space, so recording fits your schedule instead of becoming a production of its own.
Video We’ve Made for Real Businesses
Real projects for real Chicagoland businesses. Not spec work, not stock, not mockups.
Content That Actually Moves The Needle
Strategic video content that builds trust, educates customers, and increases conversions for growing businesses. From founder stories that humanize your brand to product demonstrations that eliminate purchase hesitation, professional video shortens your sales cycle and turns prospects into loyal customers before they ever pick up the phone.
How a Video Project Works
From the first creative call to the final delivered cut, every project follows the same workflow. You approve the direction before we shoot, and every deliverable includes two rounds of revisions.
Creative Discovery
We open with a creative call to understand the goal of the piece — who the audience is, what action you want them to take, and what story actually gets them there. Strategy first, cameras second.
Pre-Production Planning
Treatment, shot list, locations, talent, props, and schedule all locked before shoot day. You approve the creative direction and budget so there are no surprises on set.
On-Site Production
Our crew arrives with cinema cameras, professional lighting, lavalier and shotgun audio, and gimbals or sliders when the story needs movement. Most shoots wrap inside a single day on location.
Post-Production Editing
We cut, color grade, sound mix, and add motion graphics — all coordinated through MCZ, one point of contact from raw footage to final delivery. You receive a first draft within seven to fourteen days with two rounds of revisions included on every deliverable.
Final Delivery & Distribution
Finished assets are delivered through a private cloud folder in 4K plus social-ready aspect ratios (9:16, 1:1, 16:9). We also provide captions, thumbnails, and short cut-downs for paid ads and email campaigns.
Video Production Questions
The five questions we get asked most before a first project.
How much does a video project cost?
Pricing depends on scope — shoot length, number of deliverables, and editing complexity all factor in. A single brand video is different from a full content package with multiple cut-downs. On our creative call we’ll map exactly what your project needs and give you a clear number, so there are no surprises later.
How long does the whole process take?
Most shoots wrap in a single day on location, and you’ll have a first draft within 7–14 days after the shoot. Total turnaround depends on scheduling and revisions, but from creative call to final delivery, most projects run a few weeks start to finish.
What if I don't like the first cut?
That’s what revisions are for. Every deliverable includes two rounds of revisions, and because we lock the creative direction in pre-production, the first draft is usually close to the mark. We don’t move on until you’re happy with it.
What do you need from me to get started?
Not much. We’ll need a sense of your goals and brand on the creative call, access to your location for the shoot day, and any talent or products you want featured. We handle the rest — strategy, crew, gear, and editing.
Do you handle scripting and storyboarding?
We collaborate on it. Since you know your business better than anyone, we typically recommend you take a first pass at the script — then we revise and refine it to make sure it lands on camera and serves the story. If you’d rather not start from a blank page, we can schedule time to build the script together. Either way, you’re never left to figure it out alone, and nothing goes to shoot day until the direction is locked.
